Big Sky Retreat is situated on the edge of the Broadland National Park in South Norfolk, set in a beautiful rural location between the River Waveney and the Wherry Line. We are approx 16 miles from The fine City of Norwich, 6 miles from Great Yarmouth and 8 miles from Lowestoft. There is a rail link a short walk away with regular trains to both Norwich and Lowestoft, perfect for a day out shopping, a trip to the beach or a visit to the local pub!
There are many local attractions including Fritton Lake, Pleasurewood Hills, Bewilderwood, Sealife Centre, Thrigby Hall, Somerleyton Hall and Gardens, Pettits Adventure Park, Africa Alive, Caister Castle, 2 Playbarns, Banham Zoo, Dinosaur Park, Bressinham Park, Norwich Castle Museum, House in the Clouds at Thorpeness and many many more! Golf course and gym at Caldecott Hall is 2 miles.
The coast is approx 6 miles with great beaches at Gorleston, Great yarmouth and Lowestoft. Southwold is about a 45 min drive away and further down the coast is the lovely seaside town of Aldeburgh where you can get great fish and chips! In the other direction the stunning North Norfolk coast is approx 1 hr and a half away and definately worth a visit. Two Good Restaurants and three pubs all serving food within 3 miles. The town of Beccles in Suffolk has a good range of shops and 3 supermarkets, Pubs, Restaurants etc. Boat trips can also be booked here.
Don't forget you can get to us easily via rail too, with regular trains from LONDON into NORWICH that link with the Haddiscoe train which stops nearby.
